JOIN US for an IN-PERSON SEMINAR  at Aikido of Santa Cruz on Saturday April 22, 10:00 - 1:00 (PDT).  This seminar is PART ONE of our Dojo's annual celebration of the spirit of the Founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei.  (Part Two is April 23, 4:00 - 5:30 pm: An Online International Gathering with Motomichi Anno Sensei (8th dan),  to Honor the Spirit of O-Sensei and connect through Aikido across the globe.  Info here: https://aikidosantacruz.regfox.com/online-memorial-2023).

The seminar will be co-taught by Guest Instructors LAURIN HERR (6th dan, Aikido of Mountain View), JACK WADA (7th dan, Aikido of San Jose),  with LINDA HOLIDAY (7th dan, ASC chief instructor).  All three Senseis share a long history of training and friendship since the 1970s, and the experience of being inspired by the Aikido teachers in Kumano, Japan -- especially Motomichi Anno Sensei and Michio Hikitsuchi Sensei, who were devoted students of O-Sensei and have conveyed his teachings of heart and spirit.

Please join us on April 22 to continue this tradition, with three classes and a short "Mitamasai" ceremony to formally honor O-Sensei's spirit.  There will be traditional Norito chanting and "offering demonstrations" (hono embu) .  Please bring a favorite O-Sensei quote to share, and a simple flower offering for the ceremony if possible.
