1. Event Format
This event is offered online via a third-party digital platform. Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate internet access, equipment, and software required to attend.
2. Recording & Consent
This event will be recorded and may include audio, video, screen capture, chat messages, questions, and participant contributions.
By registering for and/or attending the event, you expressly consent to being recorded and grant the Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to:
• Record the event in whole or in part
• Use, reproduce, edit, distribute, archive, and store the recordings
• Make recordings available to participants and future audiences
• Use excerpts for educational, promotional, fundraising, or archival purposes
No compensation is owed for such use.
3. Likeness, Voice & Contributions
You acknowledge that your name, image, voice, likeness, and written or verbal contributions (including chat messages or questions) may appear in recordings.
If you prefer not to be identifiable, you are responsible for:
• Turning off your camera and microphone
• Using non-identifying names
• Refraining from posting identifying information in chat
4. Intellectual Property
All event content—including presentations, materials, facilitation, and recordings—is the intellectual property of the Organizer and/or presenters and is protected by U.S. and international copyright laws.
Participants are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access recordings for personal, non-commercial use only.
Participants may not:
• Record the event independently
• Reproduce, redistribute, publish, sell, or publicly share event content
• Use event materials for teaching, training, or commercial purposes without prior written consent
5. Participant Conduct & Confidentiality
Participants agree to:
• Engage respectfully and in good faith
• Maintain the confidentiality of other participants’ personal sharing
• Refrain from disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior
The Organizer reserves the right to remove any participant, without refund, for behavior that violates these standards or undermines the integrity of the event.
6. Educational Disclaimer
This event is offered for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Participation does not create a professional or therapeutic relationship.
7. Assumption of Risk
Participation is voluntary. You acknowledge that the event may involve emotional, personal, or reflective experiences and you assume full responsibility for your participation and well-being.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, the Organizer, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the event or use of event recordings.
9. International Participation & Data Transfer
If you are participating from outside the United States, you acknowledge and agree that:
• Event data and recordings may be processed and stored in the United States
• U.S. data protection laws may differ from those in your country
• Your participation constitutes consent to such data transfer and processing
10. Refunds & Access
Refunds, cancellations, and access to recordings are governed by the Organizer’s published event policies, which may vary by event.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California.
12. Acceptance
By registering for or attending the event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
